Amazon.com Review:
Cocoa Cobweb Cupcakes, Black Cat Cookies, and Stained-Glass Spooks are just a few of the spirited tastes you’ll encounter in Donata Maggipinto’s delightful Halloween Treats.
But it’s not just recipes–you and your favorite little goblin will love creating spooky craft projects such as Candy Cauldrons, Leaf Lanterns, and Paper Bag Pumpkins together in anticipation of All Hallows’ Eve.
Maggipinto includes craft ideas for “Pixies” (children 4-8 years old) as well as older children, and nearly every recipe includes a safe task for younger helpers. (For example, while mom or dad should heat the milk for hot cocoa, kids can roll and stamp out marshmallow ghosts as accompaniment.)

You may think that Halloween is only about ghosts, ghouls, and goblins. However, there is much more behind this spooky holiday.
For Pagans the world over, Halloween is a time of magic and divination–a night for honoring ancestors, celebrating the harvest, and ringing in the New Year.
In A Witch’s Halloween, bestselling author and Wiccan High Priestess Gerina Dunwich dispels the myths of this holiest of Pagan holidays and its most famous celebrants.
A Witch’s Halloween tells you all that you need to know about this sacred holiday, from the history, folklore, myths, and spells to Sabbat rituals, recipes, divination, Halloween superstitions–and much more.

Halloween is as pure and undiluted as its title. I saw this flick in the theater when it was first released and it sure creeped me out!
In the small town of Haddonfield, Illinois, a teenage baby sitter tries to survive a Halloween night of relentless terror, during which a knife-wielding maniac goes after the town’s hormonally charged youths. Director John Carpenter takes this simple situation and orchestrates a superbly mounted symphony of horrors. It’s a movie much scarier for its dark spaces and ominous camera movements than for its explicit bloodletting (which is actually minimal). Composed by Carpenter himself, the movie’s freaky music sets the tone; and his script (cowritten with Debra Hill) is laced with references to other horror pictures, especially Psycho. The baby (more…)
“‘Twas the night before Halloween, and all through the house, All the creatures were stirring, except for the mouse. The monsters had gathered to plan and prepare, For the trick-or-treaters who soon would be there….”Little monsters and goofy goblins take center stage in this silly, spooky spin on Clement C. Moore’s beloved poem. But what will happen on Halloween when the monsters come face to face with human trick-or-treaters in this fun-filled book by the author of The Night Before Easter?* Ages 4-8
